Google Ads Account Suspended: What to Do Next

Every ad stopped and the account says suspended. Before you open a new account or write an angry appeal, find out which rule it was. The fix depends on it.

The Short Answer

A suspended Google Ads account means every ad in it stops until Google reinstates it. Find the policy named in the notice, fix the cause on your site or billing, then appeal once from the Contact Us link in the account. Never open a new account to get around it. We make Scaley AI, and it cannot appeal for you.

What a Google Ads Suspension Means

Google's own words: "all ads in the suspended account will stop running, and you will no longer be able to advertise from your suspended account until the account is reinstated."

It is not a warning. It is the account itself. And Google is clear that a way back exists but is narrow: "Accounts are only reinstated in compelling circumstances, such as in the case of a mistake." So the appeal has to show the cause is gone, not just ask nicely.

You have time. Google says advertisers have at least six months from the suspension to appeal. Use the first days to find the cause, not to appeal.

The Four Causes Behind Most Google Ads Dropshipping Suspensions

The notice in your account names a policy. Match it to one of these. The middle column quotes Google's policy page.

The main Google Ads suspension causes for dropshipping stores
PolicyWhat Google's policy saysWhat to check
Misrepresentation"Scamming users by hiding or misrepresenting info about your business, products or services is not allowed."Real business name and contact details, true shipping times, a clear returns page, and every cost shown before checkout.
Circumventing systems"Engaging in practices that circumvent or interfere with Google's advertising systems and processes, or attempting to do so is not allowed."No cloaking, no new accounts after a suspension, no ads moved between accounts to dodge a review.
Billing and payment"If we detect suspicious or unauthorized payment activity on your account, we may restrict how much the account can spend or suspend the account."The card is one you own or have permission to use, with no declined payments or chargebacks on the account.
Unreliable claims"claims that entice the user with an improbable result (even if this result is possible) as the likely outcome a user can expect" are not allowed. No miracle results, no fake before-and-after, no promises a product cannot keep.

The Circumventing Systems Policy, in Plain Words

This is the one that ends accounts for good, so read it twice. Google calls it egregious and says that if it finds a violation, "your Google Ads accounts will be suspended upon detection and without prior warning, and you will not be allowed to advertise with Google Ads again."

Two things trip dropshipping stores most. Cloaking: "showing different content on your website to different people or to Google to try to hide things that might break Google Ads' rules." And multiple account abuse: "you can't create multiple Google Ads accounts after getting suspended to try to get around Google Ads' policies".

Some stores get flagged here by accident. A redirect app that sends some visitors to a different store, or a page that shows Google's reviewer one product and buyers another, looks like cloaking. Turn those off and make sure every visitor sees the same product.

How to Appeal a Google Ads Suspension

Google's steps: "In your Google Ads account, select the Contact Us link in the notification at the top of your screen. This link will direct you to the appeal form on the right side of your screen." When it is reviewed, Google sends an email with the outcome.

For a billing suspension, Google says "you may be asked to verify your payment method within 30 days." Have the card, the bank statement and your ID ready before you appeal.

Write the appeal like a short report. What the notice said, what you found, what you changed, and where Google can see it. No anger, no essay. If you changed the returns page, say which page and what it says now.

After You Are Back: Keep Google Ads Dropshipping Clean

A store can get suspended again for the same thing when the cause was a habit, not a page. A new product goes up with the supplier's promises copied in. A sale banner says something the checkout does not honor.

Make a short pre-launch check for every new product: true shipping time, no claim you cannot prove, and the price in the feed matches the page. The Merchant Center misrepresentation guide has the full list.

How to Fix a Suspended Google Ads Account

Five steps. The appeal is the last one, not the first.

  1. Read the Notice

Find the policy name in the account notification and in the email. Write it down.

  2. Read That Policy Page

Open Google's page for that exact policy and read every line that could apply to your store.

  3. Fix the Cause Where Google Can See It

Change the site, the ads or the billing setup. Keep a short list of what you changed and where.

  4. Get Your Proof Ready

For billing, have the card, the statement and your ID. For site issues, have the page links.

  5. Appeal Once from the Account

Use the Contact Us link in the notification. Explain the cause and the fix in a few plain lines, then wait for the email.

What Not to Do

  • Do not open a new Google Ads account. Google says "Any new accounts that the advertiser tries to create may also be suspended," and under the circumventing systems policy it is its own violation.
  • Do not appeal before you fixed the cause. Reinstatement needs compelling circumstances, and a fix Google can see is the strongest one you have.
  • Do not use a card you do not own or have no permission to use.
  • Do not file a chargeback on a real Google Ads charge. Google lists that as a reason for suspension.
  • Do not use cloaking or redirect apps that show Google one thing and buyers another.

Questions People Ask

Until Google reinstates the account. It is not a timed ban. Google says accounts are only reinstated in compelling circumstances, such as a mistake, so the fix has to come before the appeal.
